Introducing...
Elly Vandegrift is an instructor for Academic Learning Services. She holds a bachelor’s in biology from Earlham College and a master’s in forest ecology from Oregon State University. Her previous research includes such varied topics as the addictive impact of cocaine on cells and the diversity of fungi in Oregon forests. In addition to study skills and the biology portion of the MCAT prep course at the UO, Elly teaches cell biology and anatomy & physiology to pre-health students at Lane Community College. When there’s time to play outside of the classroom, Elly enjoys spending time with family and friends, outdoor activities, and traveling.
