Introducing...
Sophie Goss is an Academic Advisor with the Student Support Services (SSS) program. She comes to Academic Learning Services (ALS) from the UO Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships, bringing with her knowledge and understanding of federal funding issues. In graduate school Sophie focused her research on postsecondary access, college student services, and student retention.
Before entering graduate school, Sophie was an SSS student herself. She is glad to be back in ALS, serving students as she was once served. Sophie’s other interests include community gardening and local foods, kung fu films, volunteering, and eating pizza with her partner.
