Brian O'Neill, Staff Archeologist and Research Associate at the Oregon
State Museum of Anthropology, received his Ph.D. from the University of Oregon
in 1989 and conducts archeological investigations for the Oregon State Highway
Division. He has been an author of numerous Museum reports including “The
Long Tom and Chalker Sites: A Holocene Geoarcheological Record of the Upper
Willamette Valley” (with Thomas Connolly and Dorothy Freidel), Report
number 99-6 (1999). In addition to such reports, he has written articles for
Current Archeological Happenings in Oregon, the journal of the Association of
Oregon Archeologists. Such articles include "Residue Analysis of Artifacts
Recovered from a Contact-Period Occupation on the Rogue River," CAHO,
v. 25, 2000.
