Paul Mathews, McNair Scholar
Nathan Tublitz, Professor of Biology, received his Ph.D. in 1984 from the University
of Washington and has been part of the UO faculty since 1986. His research interests
focus on the neural mechanisms underlying behavior, how neuropeptides modulate
behavior and their role in mediating neuroplasticity. Recent publications include
“Neural Regulation of Cuttlefish Chromatophore Function by Glutamate and
FMRFAmide,” Journal of Comparative Neurology, 420:499-511(2000) (with
Dr. P.K. Loi).
