Deanna Campbell, McNair Scholar

Diane Baxter received her Ph.D. from UCLA in 1991. Since 1996, she has been an adjunct Professor in Anthropology, Judaic Studies and the Honors College at the University of Oregon while also serving (1998-2000) as Publications Director for the Carleton Savage Endowment in International Relations and Peace. Recent research includes: “Shifting Icons: Changing Images of West Bank Camp Refugees,” Journal of Palestine Studies (in review); “Honor Thy Daughter: Women’s Organizations and the (Re)making of Palestine,” Journal of Social Politics (in review); “Women’s Islamic Groups in Jerusalem and the Palestinian National Struggle,” in Ifrak Zilberman (ed.), Society and Politics in Jerusalem, NYU Press (book in review).
