Gail Unruh, Director of the McNair Scholars Program, received his Ph.D. in 1987 from the University of Oregon. He has been an adjunct faculty member in the UO Department of History and Visiting Assistant Professor of History at Miami University in Ohio. Involved with TRiO programs since 1993, he maintains research interests in Liberalism and Conservatism in twentieth-century America as well as post-World War II American political and social movements.
