Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT)
The University's MCAT Preparation Workshop is conducted by faculty members who teach biology, chemistry, and physics material specifically tailored for the MCAT. These faculty specialists are joined by other test experts to help students perform to their best abilities on all the MCAT sections, including the critical reading and writing sections.
2008 Workshop Dates -- Cost: $625
Class will meet on the following Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.:
Jan. 19, 26; Feb. 2, 9, 16; Mar. 1, 15
In addition, three computer-based AAMC MCAT practice tests will be available throughout the course with the following Saturdays set aside for students to take the exams:
Jan. 12, Feb. 23, Mar. 8
Workshop participants will take a pre-session diagnostic test and will have additional opportunities to apply test-taking and pacing strategies to full-length computer based AAMC MCAT practice tests. Instruction and rehearsal with the writing responses will help participants compose essay answers that earn top scores.
For 2008 we are excited to introduce a new hybrid format for the biology and critical reading/writing sections of the class. Content will be available through online video on demand modules and class time will be devoted to additional practice with the material. Physics and chemistry content will be covered in detail during Saturday workshop sessions.
The workshops cost of $625 is inclusive, covering all review materials, lectures and instruction, diagnostic and practice, and essay grading.
